What is the general procedure for a CT chest limited?
You will be taken to a CT scanning room where you will be asked to lie on a table. You will be asked to put your arms over your head and rest them on a pillow. The machine will move you into a large cylinder, which is open on both sides. The table will move you inside the large cylinder and it will begin to move around your body at a 360–degree angle. You will be asked to hold your breath at different intervals during the scan. The whole procedure will take approximately seven minutes. Please contact your physician within 7-10 days to discuss the results. Preparation Arrive 30 minutes before your appointment to register. You will be asked to give a history of your symptoms to the technologist. This will enable the radiologist to make an accurate diagnosis.
