What is the future of the ‘Board of Academic Heads’?

0

The Board of Academic Heads, as constituted following the reform of management and governance in 2004/5, comprises heads of Academic Resource Centres. When the College structure is implemented, a Board of College Heads will be created and will meet monthly in the first instance. It is anticipated that the Board of College Heads will meet with the Heads of Central Services every 2-3 months. However, it would be unfortunate if the benefits generated by the current Board of Academic Heads were to be lost. Therefore, this forum will continue and will expand to include the Heads of all the constituent Schools of the College of Arts and Humanities and the Heads of the three consitutent Schools of the College of Physical & Applied Sciences (and Institutes in each College) and will meet every 2-3 months. It is possible that the remit of the Board of Academic Heads may evolve as the new College structure develops over time.
