I’ve seen many CAD programs which started off as easy to use tools and then became more and more complex and finally were no longer appropriate for simple tasks. QCAD won’t go that route. It aims to be the CAD for beginners, students, teachers and professionals who are not trained draftsmen but still need a CAD application at hand.
