What is the future of KeyArena?

City officials have said they would continue to use KeyArena for other events and attempt to retain its status as the city’s central venue for concerts and shows. Losing the Sonics will definitely damage the marketability of the arena, however, and it’s highly unlikely the city would refurbish the venue to attract another NBA team. The NBA is not likely to return to Seattle without a new arena.
