IMO: Pursuing CMMI or not country/area specific. For example I haven’t seen many organisations in Europe that cared about CMMI appraisals. I personally not a great fan of CMMI and other appraisals. It’s nice to have it from marketing point of view – but frankly speaking at the end of the day “mature” organisation means lots of red tape.
