What is the future for Spanish-language television?
DM: We are not a company that goes out and talks much about our competition. We have a lot of competition. They are great competitors whether they be in Spanish or English but it is sometimes frustrating to see all that is written about the so-called acculturated Latino and how their viewing patterns are changing or will change. The facts are that our ratings continue to grow, that the market continues to grow. Today we found out the universe estimates for 2007 are up 3.5% in the adult 18-to-49 demographic, which is all of the growth. Hispanics are contributing all of the growth in the 18-to-49 demographic. Our overall numbers continue to escalate and I am sure they are going to continue. Obviously, Telemundo is happy with their ratings. Not so sure the destinations often cited as viewing homes for acculturated or bilingual Hispanics have any ratings to speak of or any increase in ratings, while the Spanish-language networks are all growing.
