What is the function of the “Zero” button in the setup screen?

0

The “Zero” button is used during the calibration of the logger. Do not press the “Zero” button when the thermocouples are connected. Before pressing the “Zero” button you should first short the “+” and “-” channel terminal with a piece of wire and also type (0) zero for the low calibration values. Please refer to the calibration section for the SRP5 and SRP6 loggers for proper usage of this button. If the “Zero” button is pressed while the thermocouples are connected the calibration values will change and will be incorrect. If this occurs you should retype the factory calibration values (that are printed on the card that comes with the logger) and save them to the logger.
