WHAT IS THE FUNCTION OF THE PROJECTED LAND USE MAP?
The Kingman General Plan 2020 includes a Projected Land Use Map which depicts existing and potential land uses within the planning area. The map indicates a range of residential densities, commercial and industrial uses, areas for parks and open space, and various locations for public and quasi-public uses such as schools, government offices and services, and places of worship. The land use designations are based upon a number of factors, including compatibility with surrounding areas, development constraints, availability of infrastructure and access, and the need to ensure a balanced mix of land uses within the area. WHAT EFFECT WILL THE LAND USE PROJECTIONS HAVE ON PROPERTIES IN THE KINGMAN AREA? The Projected Land Use Map does not have the effect of rezoning any property, nor is it intended to affect property values, taxes or the sale of property.
