What is the function of the Education Services Center?
The ESC is a national level program for education benefits for soldiers, their families and civilian employees of the Army National Guard. Subject matter experts are available to help individuals maximize their education benefits. The ESC includes five teams: the GI Bill support team, counseling support team, incentives support team, testing support team and the tuition assistance support team. The counseling support team offers an interesting service of degree planning and credit assessment. The degree planners will review a soldier’s American Council on Education Registry Transcript System transcript and build a personalized college degree plan by consolidating earned college credit from military training, college level testing, independent study courses, traditional college courses and corporate training.
