What Is The Function Of A Bedside Lamp?
As implied in the name a bedside lamp is a lamp which is to sit at the side of your bed. Most people like to have a small bedside table on which to sit an alarm clock, book, phone or whatever else. This is the ideal place for a lamp. There are of course larger standing lamps or small wall fixed lights which can be used to the same affect. The bedside lamp’s function is to create light in that area of the room. The light is generally softer than that of a ceiling lamp in order to give the idea of calming for sleep. Most people use a bedside lamp to read by at night. It creates enough light so that they can read comfortable but not too much that it may keep a tired partner awake. it is also handy to have a bedside lamp if your main light switch is far away. That way you can switch the small lamp on before turning the big light off, and still be able to see adequately to get safely into bed.
