Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal is a Public Charitable Trust headquartered in Mumbai, registered under the Society’s Registration Act XXI of 1960 No. 733 of 1934-35 and the Bombay Trusts Act, 1950 (Bombay XXIX of 1950) No. F30 (BOM) 1953. The Mandal was formed in 1934 and commenced its activities by taking over the Rashtriya Shala, a school established in 1921 in the wake of the National Movement. The Mandal since its humble beginning in 1934, has today, grown into an enormous educational complex imparting quality education to more than 34,000 students and has established over 15 institutions imparting a wide range of degree and vocational courses. SVKM’s is the trust under which also there is famous college in Mumbai named ‘Mithibai’, where many film stars and celebrities have studied.
