. Before you can begin working on a department or student organization, make sure you have the web server permissions to do so. If you find out that you do not have the proper permissions, send an email to helpdesk@southwestern.edu and please include the following information: • Your name and SUeID • The web address [URL] of the web site you will be managing – you can go to the site, copy the address from the address bar and paste that address into your email • If this is for a student organization, the name of your Southwestern’s organization’s sponsor If you are not sure of your permissions and they are not set to allow you to edit the web site, you will receive an error message when you attempt to connect via FTP or attempt to copy a file to or from the web site. In the configuration setup for FTP in either a web editing application [Kompozer, Dreamweaver], use the following values: • FTP server – www.southwestern.edu • Directory – /web/www.southwestern.edu/htdocs/XXXXXXX where XXXX
