What is the formula for surface area of a rectangular prism?
Each side is a rectangle so the area of all three is can be found by (length x height) x 3. The area of the triangle at each end of the prism can be found by width x height halved but as there are two ends width x height will give the combined area of both ends. Then add this to the area calculated for the three sides.
