What is the format of the MTELP test?
The latest release of the Web-based MTELP test consists of 120 multiple-choice questions divided into three sections. The allotted time to complete the test is 2 hours and 15 minutes. The test is offered in a Web-based environment and can be completed anywhere using a standard Internet connection. Test takers are not required to visit a test center in order to complete the test. The MTELP test has three diagnostic objectives. Individual sections address each objective as follows: Section 1: Usage of standard English structures (45 questions) Section 2: Usage of fundamental business-related terms (45 questions) Section 3: Analysis or written information (30 questions) Test takers answer every question shown on the computer screen after each question is presented. Once a question is answered, individuals cannot go back and correct any previous item.
