All fields in a line are tab-delimited. In the first row are titles for each column or for data, each pair of columns: Column 1: title for probe identifier, e.g. “affyID” Column 2: title for annotation, e.g. “Annotation” Columns 3 – N +2: name of chip used. Note these are not really column headings, as each chip name has two columns of data associated with it. Rows starting with “Description” contain phenotype information for samples hybridized to individual arrays. Any number of Description lines can be used, each can represent a different level of detail of phenotypic description. Column 1: “Description” Column 2: Label for description. These labels will appear as choices in the Phenotype tab. For example you could use “short, long and detailed” for three different lengths of descriptive labels or tags.
