What is the forgiveness policy and how does it work?
The forgiveness policy is a method by which students may repeat courses up to three times to improve their GPA at FIU. Students must file a Repeated Course Form with the Registrar’s Office to have the initial grade removed from the GPA calculation. Once this form is submitted, it cannot be changed. There is no time limit on the use of forgiveness but a form cannot be filed once a student has been awarded a degree.
