What is the Forest Stewardship Council and what do they do?
The FSC is an international non-profit organisation that support environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the worlds forests. They set guidelines for forestry management, assess practices and issue certification to those operations that conform to FSC standards. Landowners and suppliers are then able to label their wood and wood products as certified wood and to use the FSC trademark logo.
