What is The Foley Hoag Foundation?
The Foley Hoag Foundation was established more than two decades ago by our partners to combat racism in the City of Boston. Over the past 27 years, the Foundation has distributed more than $1.4 million in grants to nearly 250 organizations, focusing on organizations working with young people, and including support for art and cultural programs, youth leadership and recreational programs, direct advocacy assistance to confront racism, programs designed to prepare young people to live in the reality of a multi-cultural society, and programs focused on helping young people confront and overcome their misconceptions and prejudices. The Foley Hoag Foundation was the first – and remains the only – foundation to focus exclusively on the improvement of race relations in Boston.
