Founded in 1911, the Volunteers of America Greater Sacramento & Northern Nevada affiliate serves our diverse communities’ must vulnerable members, including abused and neglected children, at-risk youth, seniors, people with disabilities, the mentally ill, homeless individuals and families, and those recovering from addictions. The goal of our Board, staff and volunteers is to give people in need the opportunity to rebuild their lives and achieve permanent self-sufficiency. To that end, we are dedicated to the development and operation of broad-based human service programs for people of all faiths and cultures, in all stages of their lives, and in all aspects of need.
