What is the Fleet Response Plan?
The Fleet Response Plan is the Navy’s new methodology of operating, training, manning, and maintaining the Fleet to increase readiness and availability for operations in times of crisis or national emergency. The strategy calls for six of the Navy’s 12 Carrier Strike Groups to deploy within 30 days’ notice, with two more groups ready within 90 days. The Navy’s goal is to provide twice the projected force in half the time as compared to traditional deployment cycles.
