What is the Flamingo Fling?
The Flamingo Fling is a secondary market event that raises money for Southeastern Guide Dogs. It is held in March in Tampa. With Clara Johnson Scroggins, noted author and recognized ornament expert, the Fling is different than any other secondary market event. Clara is able to persuade companies and manufacturers to participate alongside the secondary market dealers. At the Fling, companies debut new items, bring artists to sign collectibles, and meet collectors. Adding the dinner/auction on Friday evening has made the Flamingo Fling a weekend event that many collectors don’t want to miss.
