I have both in my closet right now. You can buy a Nike and a Speedo in the exact same size and the Speedo will always be a little bit tighter and have a slightly better cut to it. Ideally you want at least 2 different sizes in case you gain weight or it’s that time of the month.

The Speedo suits are cut a little smaller. My dd could never get a Nike suit to fit her right. She’s thin and there was always a gap of material at the lower back. FYI, TYR suits run a little smaller than Speedo. Between the Speedo Aquablade and the TYR Fusion, she liked the Fusion.

Speedo one-piece swimsuits are always a tighter fit, which I personally prefer. Usually I wear a swimsuit one size tighter than my measured size. I also find that the tighter fit supports my boobs better. Speedo is usually cut higher on the legs as well.
