What is the first metaphysical concept mankind created?
Assuming you mean the same thing as Aristotle when you speak of Metaphysics, meaning a concept that is after the physical, the most reasonable conclusion to draw would be the soul. Now, of course, the soul would refer to all the properties or characteristics of an individual as they lived but also to the thought that the soul lives on after death. This notion of a soul would have doubt arose from reflection on the fact that we have an internal monologue of words always going on. The soul, the self (in latter philosophy), seems to be nothing but words and we mainly experience others by the stream of words they use in daily life with us. After someone dies our memory and our dreams still let us hear the person who has passed. This hearing of the dead, along with the grief, lead to the belief in a soul, the first metaphysical concept.
