What is the fire resistance for EGGER Protect boards?
EGGER UK Laminated chipboard is produced to Euroclass D S2d0. EGGER P5 is produced in accordance with Bs476 to Surface Spread of Flame Class 3. EGGER Protect has a Surface Spread of Flame Class 2 – This board has also been assessed as having a fire resistance rating of 30 minutes load bearing capacity, 15 minutes integrity and 15 minutes insulation by the BBA. 38mm HDX also meets the requirments of the old Class 3 which is now replaced by the European standardDs-s2 D0, and is the only board available with a “O” fire rating foil.
