What is the financial commitment to joining a sorority?
Since the inceptions of Greek letter societies, sororities have been self-sufficient. Members pay semester dues to remain active in these organizations. Fees vary from chapter to chapter, however; most groups have a one-time pledge and initiation fee in addition to dues. The money collected in dues goes toward a variety of activities, including scholarship awards, academic resources, national leadership consultants, leadership development resources, social events, conventions, and housing funds.
