The File Manager Option within your Control Panel provides powerful features similar to FTP, Windows Explorer, and other file directory applications. It will handle many of the functions that an FTP or Telnet client will handle, all from within your web browser. Functions such as setting permissions, uploading files from your hard drive, creating and editing html files, and creating subdirectories. Note: some system-oriented files, such as .htaccess, are visible only via the File Manager (and not via an FTP directory listing).
