What is the federal refund policy?

0

The federal refund policy applies if you are doing a full withdrawal, and have received federal financial aid (which would include federal loan programs). The policy counts from the first day classes begin each semester and the refund percentage is based on the student’s number of days attended during the semester. The day used to determine days attended is the day the financial aid office is notified of the withdrawal, not the actual last day the student attended class. The number of days the student attended classes is divided by the overall number of days in the semester (not including breaks if 5 days or longer). Once the student begins the withdrawal process, and the Office of Financial Aid is notified of the withdrawal, the Office of Financial Aid then determines the percentage of days attended which determines the percentage of aid earned and percentage of aid to be refunded.
