What is the FE Exam (formerly known as EIT exam)?
• The FE Exam is a Fundamentals of Engineering exam which tests individuals on the ‘fundamental’ of engineering concepts and topics which a student typically will learn while obtaining an undergraduate degree from a EAC/ABET accredited institution. • For those who wish to pursue a Professional Engineering Licensure in the state of North Carolina, the FE Exam is the first of two exams in the process for licensure. • The FE Exam is a standard exam given in all 50 states on the same day. When is the next FE Exam sign up for UNC Charlotte and what can I expect? • For the Fall 2011 FE Exam sign up, please check back by in July for the new dates. Sign-ups done through the university are only for currently enrolled, engineering majors who are also first time test takers. If you do not fall into that category, please contact Linda Thurman for more information. As always, re-test takers, members of the community and alumni must register directly with the NC Board by THEIR stated deadline. More
