What is the FCX Scholarship and Internship?
Each year Freeport-McMoRan will award up to 90 scholarship/internships for students in these programs. The scholarship will cover tuition and fees up to $1800 for Arizona residents (more for non-residents). The internship is the hands-on component of the training, and will give recipients the chance to work in the mine setting for up to 20 hours a week. Interns will be paid $12 an hour for the time they work at the mine.
