Modern Dial-Up modems typically have a maximum of 56 Kbps (using the V.92 protocol), although in most cases only up to 53 Kbps is possible due to overhead. In many cases transfer speeds will be lower, averaging anywhere between 33-43 Kbps. The connection speed may vary depending on factors such as phone line noise and condition plus the quality of the modem itself. The speed of connection can be accelerated through the use of a web accelerator. Our Dial Up service is accelerated and provides for up to 5 times the connection speed of Pay As You Go.
