What is the Family Caregiver Support Program?
The goal of the Family Caregiver Support Program is to provide support and services for unpaid family caregivers in Island, San Juan, Skagit, and Whatcom counties. Caregiver support has long been an important focus in our region. Programs such as Senior Information & Assistance, Respite Care, Adult Day Services, and Caregiver Training have all provided tremendous help to people caring for their loved ones at home. Developed by the Northwest Regional Council, the region’s Area Agency on Aging, the Family Caregiver Support Program provides additional relief and assistance to unpaid family caregivers, including Personal Caregiver Survey , Caregiver Resource Libraries, Caregiver Information Booklets, Kits, Caregiver Consultants, and more.
