What is the Fall Learn-To-Row Program?
We provide a special program for freshmen and novice rowers called the Learn-to-Row Program. It’s a great chance to sample crew before the spring season starts in earnest, meet the coaches and captains, work with varsity rowers, and learn basic techniques. This is also a chance to teach the safety components of our sport while the weather is still relatively warm. In the first week of October, freshmen will report to the Erg Room, lower level, in the hallway outside of the gym, for rowing essentials prior to the first ride to the Boathouse. The cost will be around $200, which covers insurance and Boathouse and equipment use. All registration paperwork, including a physical dated after May of the current year, must be in our Registrar’s hands before a rower can go out on the water.
