What is the Fairview Pace Car program?
It’s a community effort to make residential streets safer. People living or driving in Fairview sign a pledge to obey posted speed limits, stop at stop signs and red lights, let pedestrians cross streets safely, and be courteous to cyclists and other road users. A Pace Car driver sets an example of how we’d like to see people behave on Fairview streets. The more “pace cars” there are, the safer our streets will be. It’s something that you can do about speeding traffic, without extra police or traffic obstacles.
