What is the FAFSA deadline?

0

It depends. If you are applying for a need-based scholarship or a seminary grant the FAFSA needs to be completed by the corresponding deadline. If you are applying for a loan it needs to be completed at least 2 weeks before the Financial Clearance deadline. If you are not paying for tuition/fees with financial aid but need a loan during the school year, the FAFSA can be completed at any time during that school year.

March 1 is the K-State priority deadline. If you apply after this date, your chances for receiving all types of financial assistance will be reduced. Eligibility for the Federal Pell Grant and/or Federal Direct Loans are not affected by this priority deadline. It’s easier to complete the application when you have already completed your income tax return. For more details, see FAFSA deadlines.
