The Factiva Market Data Service retrieves current quotes from the Reuters Investor Service. To retrieve a quote or other market information, the GetQuote transaction must provide either the Reuters Instrument Code (RIC) or the Dow Jones Ticker symbol. The code and symbol can be retrieved using the PerformInstrumentSearch transaction in the Taxonomy Service. The returned value from the PerformCodeSearch transaction should then be used in the GetQuote transaction.
