1. Sector trends are becoming more ‘market-driven’ The air transport and ATM sectors have evolved from their ‘State-owned’ system to a ‘market-driven’ system, where airports, airlines and service providers are now either corporatised or privatised. Consequently, the roles of the different players are more competitive and have replaced previous public-service objectives. Business efficiency is at the forefront of all the actors now contributing to the aviation sector.
