What is the extent of the Metadata that ClearPlay records?
Clearplay’s professional operators tag a variety of content categories ranging from sex, violence and foul language through to sensitive subjects, bigotry and frightening imagery. The context and level of intensity of each event is also determined as are the demographics of the characters involved. ClearPlay records two types of Metadata: Search: viewers can search for types of content in films and selected TV series. This Metadata can also be used to provide people with information regarding the degrees of potentially offensive program content. Product Placement/Advertising: The depiction of brands, products and logos can be tagged along with their context. This information can be used by Digital TV Service Providers to assist advertisers to integrate their branded products and services into video streams as well as allowing advertisers to study their competitors.
