Since the early 1980s, China has provided Corning with the talented people and local expertise necessary to bring innovations like optically-pure, mechanically-precise glass for televisions, fiber optics and environmental control substrates to the Chinese market. The results of this partnership have been extraordinary. To date, Corning has invested approximately US$1.5 billion with eight manufacturing facilities and over 2,000 employees in Greater China.
