Although a large part of the budget of Pakistan is allocated to the defence or more precisely to the personal enjoyments of the Pakistan military, nevertheless the money that is allocated to the military is only enjoyed by a limited few who belong to the elitist class. In the contemporary state of affairs, the military of Pakistan has become immensely status-conscious and class-oriented, something that has increased the demands of their lifestyle and has affected the way they carry and conduct themselves. As for the soldiers of lower ranks, they do not get any part of those pecuniary privileges and their life is the same as it was before.
