What is the Explore program and how can I apply for it?
Explore (also called the Second Language Bursary Program) offers a five-week intensive language-learning course that you can take during the spring or summer months in any participating institution in Canada. Students receive a bursary that covers the tuition fees, textbooks, meals, and accommodation. The course is adapted to your level (based on a placement test) and you can also enjoy many cultural activities and excursions with other students from across the country. The course offers a total French immersion experience that will help improve your oral skills. You can live in a residence on campus or you can stay with a family whose members speak French. It is a very popular program with students, and it is especially recommended for all students who took FREN 212 and who plan on continuing to FREN 297. Go to Explore for more information and to download an application form.
