What is the experience from the sender side if that person is using dial up? Is there some type of compression of the images to minimize the upload to the Web site?
HP Instant Share technology has a built-in detection capability to determine the camera-user’s Internet connections. HP Instant Share technology determines whether the connection is broadband (cable/LAN) or dialup. If it is broadband, then images are always uploaded as original: for example, no down-sampling (or shrinking the image). However, if the connection is dial-up, then the images are down-sampled to fit what the server is requesting.
