What is the expected timeline for the Beauty 50 competition?
Each season of Beauty 50 lasts for six months. So, there are two seasons of Beauty 50 in a year. How will you balance the Beauty 50 competition as well as other coverage regarding fashion and lifestyle in the magazine (i.e. what is the page ratio of competition vs content)? To be honest, I can’t deny that most attention will go to the contest instead of the content, although pages allocated for the competition is just about one sixth of the entire MODÈLLE magazine. Fashion and lifestyle will remain our top priority, along with the Beauty 50, as these sections make the bulk of our readers’ interest. What impact do you see Modelle Magazine making in the industry? That’s a good question. Though it’s too early for me to tell, I strongly believe that the arrival of MODÈLLE magazine, as well as our Beauty 50 contest, will gradually, if not wholly, change Malaysia’s modeling scene.
