What is the expected salary for equity research analyst without experience?
I’d say in the range of 50 – 60k per year based on the Jr. Analyst job postings I’ve seen. If will of course depend on who you work for (consulting house, IB, hedge fund, RIA). Most will require BA and will probably not have any trouble finding a candidate with an MBA or MA. Buddies that have had jobs like this at I-Banks get run over, we used to call this dude from the bars at 11:00 at nite saying where the hell are you – we’d call the office first. They will work you to death.
