What is the expected life of the Zeocarbon SWEETFILTER?

0

Zeocarbon contains both activated carbon and a natural volcanic rock called zeolite. Zeocarbon lasts longer, up to 7 times longer because it does not cake and plug-up in high moisture environments like other carbon filter media . Common household chemical use (including bleach) increases the life of Zeocarbon while simpler chemically treated carbon media can be destroyed. Zeocarbon is designed to be recycled back to the ground as an ornamental fertilizer for carbon sequestering while most other types of chemically treated carbon media contain caustic materials or toxic metals that make them unsuitable as a fertilizer. Zeocarbon does have a maximum odor absorbing capacity and will last between 1 and 5 years, depending on your septic system. For example, if you put them on a restaurant they may last 1-2 years (for our commercial units see our Sweetfilter II at www.SweetAirFilter.com). If you put them on a residence they may last 5 years or more.
