What is the expectation regarding the final essay format and structure?
It is way beyond the scope of this FAQ page to teach essay writing. In very broad terms, your essay must have a thesis statement, an introdcution, a main body where you develop your ideas and prove your thesis, and a conclusion. Your statements must be supported by research, and evidence of research must be provided through appropriate quotations. Marking will not rigidly look for any particular standard style, but please be consistent. The bibliography must cover multiple types of sources (books, periodicals, internet, other sources). Hoping to help all students with how to write the final essay, the TA has provided a small sample essay. It is of course shorter, and ineligble as a topic, but should be helpful with f
