The ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst Certificate exam run by the Vietnamese Testing Board(VTB) is 65 multiple choice questions and 2 hours in duration. Of the 65 questions there are: – 40 level 2 ‘understand’ questions – worth 1 mark each – 15 level 3 ‘apply’ questions – worth 2 marks each – 10 level 4 ‘analyse’ questions – worth 3 marks each Participants are required to achieve 65% or more out of the total 100 marks to pass. The exam will be challenging to ensure that those who pass are of a high calibre and are senior software testing professionals. As such, the percentage of people who fail this exam is expected to be higher than for the ISTQB Foundation Certificate exam. The exam is based on the material in the ‘ISTQB Syllabus Advanced Level 2007’ and the ‘ISTQB Syllabus Foundation Level V2007’. See details in the ‘pre-reading’ FAQ below for more information.
