What is the evening dress code like in Vegas?
Pretty much anything goes. Vegas used to have a nice dress code back when the mob ran things, but today it’s totally different. If you go to one of the nice shows in Vegas, you will find people in shorts and t-shirts and you will find people in evening gowns and suits. It’s really more what you are comfortable in. If you plan on going to any nightclubs, then you do have to dress up a little (jeans, a nice top, and nice shoes at the least… you will be fine with a little black dress). Or if you plan on eating at a fancier restaurant, casual clothing is usually not okay either. You will be allowed in plenty of bars and all of the casinos if you are just wearing shorts, sandals, and a tank top… the only real need to dress up a bit is for nightclubs and nice restaurants. So bring whatever you are comfortable in and if that is really casual stuff, throw in a couple of those black dresses for going out some evenings.
