Your record is reviewed for Academic Dismissal only at the end of the SPRING semesters. Your credits are compared to your cumulative grade point average. At the end of the SPRING semester you will be Academically Dismissed if: • You have between 30-59 (attempted + transfer + proficiency) credits and your cumulative GPA is lower than 1.75. • You have between 60-89 (attempted + transfer + proficiency) credits and your cumulative GPA is lower than 1.90. • You have 90 and above (attempted + transfer + proficiency) credits and your cumulative GPA is lower than 2.00. ***You cannot be Academically Dismissed at the end of your first semester at RIC.
