What is the Evaluation Process for Invent Iowa?
All applications that have been submitted in full by February 1, 2011, will be evaluated by a panel of judges in the Invent Iowa State Competition. There are two rounds of evaluation in the State Competition. First, Invent Iowa officials will catalog and evaluate all inventions submitted to the State Competition to determine which inventions will continue to the award round. Trained evaluators from across the state will use the Invent Iowa Rubric in all evaluations. After this first round of evaluation, only students being considered for final award selection are required to send in a 2-3 minute video of their invention presentation.
