This means that the transaction is encrypted and your company has been authenticated according to the most rigorous industry standard. Without the Entrust EV Updater, you can not ensure that IE 7 users able to see the green address bar. The Entrust EV Updater works by prompting the automatic root update functionality in IE 7 for Windows XP on visiting client systems and therefore enabling the IE7 client to “recognize” the SSL Certificate’s EV status.
